Sponsor a Parkland Tree in Simonsbath, Exmoor National Park

If you’re looking for a way to mark a special occasion or honour the memory of someone special, consider sponsoring one of ten new parkland trees to be planted in Simonsbath in Exmoor National Park.

For many who have enjoyed visiting Exmoor — or had the joy of living within these much-loved landscapes — this is a meaningful way to give back and create a lasting tribute.

For a limited time, we are offering the opportunity to dedicate a parkland tree in Simonsbath, where a total of ten large trees — a mix of Sessile Oak, Scots Pine, and Small-leaved Lime — will be planted in early 2026.  By donating £995, you can support this special planting and make a personal dedication. You will receive a certificate of dedication and a map showing the tree’s location.

You can also choose the wording for a plaque to be fixed to the timber surround that will protect the young tree for at least 15 years. These specially made tree guards are crafted by our own field services team using untreated cleft chestnut sourced from Exmoor’s own woodlands. The guards are designed to shield the trees from cattle and deer as they establish themselves.

The trees will be planted in the area shown in red on this map, and will include a mixture of:

·       Sessile Oak – A majestic deciduous broadleaf tree, typically growing 20–40 m tall and capable of living for over 500 years.

·       Scots Pine – A native evergreen conifer, growing up to 35 m tall, also known for its impressive lifespan and ecological value.

·       Small-leaved Lime – A graceful deciduous tree with a rounded crown, usually reaching 20–30 m tall, valued for its fragrant flowers and ability to support a wide variety of wildlife.

Each tree can be sponsored for a £995 donation to CareMoor for Exmoor, contributing directly to our ambitious tree planting project and the wider conservation work of Exmoor National Park.

To place an order, please choose your preferred tree species and fill in the form with the wording for your plaque. The plaques, measuring 65x100mm, are made of antique bronze and include the Exmoor National Park logo, CareMoor for Exmoor branding, and up to four lines of personalised text (up to 26 characters/spaces per line).
